It's usually the weekend of halloween and there is another weekend where Orange County Schools have no school on friday so that thursday is usually packed to the brim.

Actually, in the last 3 years I've been, Halloween weekend has been one of the least busy. Hell week is usually towards the middle/end of Oct., but not the last weekend. Just speaking from my experience...

The days counties have off are-

Orange:
October 15th
October 29th

Osceola:
October 22nd
October 25th

Lake:
October 25th

Seminole:
October 18th

Except crowds the night before/the night of these days =[

I can't confirm this is 100% accurate. I did the best I could to find correct information.

october 14th is the last day of the 9-week grading period for some florida schools. there is no school the following day. it happens to be on a thursday, and seizing the opportunity of cheapest tickets.

It depends what you consider too long :p express pass lines never get "too "long.. but there are times where there will be "a wait" .. that being said with the new ticket structures.. its all up in the air till we see how tonight goes. Luckily they are expensive enough to keep most away.

So, got a question for the locals who are "In the know"... Leaving New Hampshire with the Wife and guests 5:00am on Friday the 22nd. Arriving in Orlando at 10:00am - Going to Event that night! By the time we get car, a little food shopping and check into suite, it will be about 1-2:00 in the afternoon. We know this is the 5 day work week for Universal Employees at HHN.

What time would it be safe to arrive at CityWalk, considering parking time and making way there from Preferred or Valet... To not be wayyyyyy back in line at The Arch. Tickets at Kiosk...

Any input from you guys would be appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

if its anything like most days. lines start to backup about an hour prior to gates opening. so say 4:30 5 if you need to pick up tickets.

Another tip if you are using the will call ticket kiosk/or buying tickets is to go to the ioa side if uni is busy and pick them up there.

Thanks, Drew!

Dammit!!!! I'm also gonna be there on the 14th and 15th. And there's really nothing I hate worse than crowds of high school kids.

Crap, I'm going on the 14th as well. UGH...I spent weeks planning this trip and thought this weekend would be the least busy and picked a Thusday night to go. Already bought tickets and everything. Oh well. I hate high school kids, and even did when I was one. I will heed the advice of go early and am hoping to hit all the stuff I really want to see before it gets really crowded.
