Today Universal has blessed us with our first house announcement, Stranger Things. We’ve been begging for it and they have listened. We will finally get to take the trip to Hawkins and come face to face with Demogorgons! We’ll even get to visit the creepy government labs, the void and the ever so trippy and demented monster filled upside-down.
Today also marks a new beginning for Halloween Horror Nights as a brand. Stranger Things is the first IP in the event’s history that will span three parks simultaneously. Why is this important? Well, it sure makes a lot of corporate types happy. Hooray corporate synergy! I don’t mind it for a massive IP like this, so it’s all good! Plus, Orlando has been keeping with #HHN28 instead of #HHN2018 so I feel like we are still on the right path. Now to figure out if this is just a house announcement or if it’s a full event takeover much like The Walking Dead did in years past. Considering how much I enjoy this IP, I’d be okay with either scenario.
So who is ready to fight off some Demogorgons? I know I am! I’m also ready for some more announcements! Halloween Horror Nights 28 in Orlando runs select nights September 14 – November 3, 2018. Be sure to check out their fancy new site at https://orlando.halloweenhorrornights.com
Tickets are already on sale with a fancy new promo to boot! You can bogo! Never thought I’d see the day this would happen, and it’s pretty cool. However those that are likely reading this article are probably not the target demographic for these tickets. We’re all waiting for the frequent, AP, and FL resident packages, amiright? In any case, it’s a great deal, 2 nights for $77.99! You’ll need to hurry though as it’s a limited time offer and will only be available until June 6, 2018.
